The short version
- We collect only what the game needs: your game progress and, if you sign in, your email address.
- We collect anonymous play stats (like which levels people finish) to make the game better. You can turn them off anytime.
- We never sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising profiles.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- You can delete your account and cloud save at any time from inside the game.
- Our games are not meant for children under 13.
Who we are
Copper Sky Games LLC ("Copper Sky Games," "we," "us") is an Arizona company that makes games, including the puzzle game available at play.copperskygames.com. This policy explains what information our games and websites (together, the "Games") collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Game progress
To save your progress, we store your game data: levels reached, stars, scores, crystals, coins, boosters, streaks and similar settings. This is saved on your device and backed up to our cloud database.
Account information
When you start playing, the Game creates an anonymous guest account with a random ID. No personal information is attached to it. If you choose to sign in:
- With Google: we receive your name, email address and profile picture link from Google.
- With email and password: we receive your email address. Your password is handled by our sign-in provider and is never visible to us.
Purchases
If you buy coins or other items, payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe acts as the reseller for these purchases and collects your payment details, email, and billing name and address (needed to calculate sales tax) under its own privacy policy. We receive a record of the purchase (what you bought, the amount, the date and a transaction ID), never your full card number.
Technical information
Like most websites, our hosting and database providers automatically process technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the time of each request. This is used to deliver the Game, keep it secure and fix problems.
Play stats (analytics)
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the Game is played, so we can fix levels that are too hard, improve features people enjoy and spot problems. It records game events such as levels started and finished, stars earned, boosters used, chests opened and coins spent, along with your guest or account ID, general device and browser information, an approximate region (country or city level, from your IP address) and visit times. It stores an identifier in your browser (a cookie) so returning visits can be counted.
We've turned off Google's advertising features and Google signals, so this information is not used to build advertising profiles or to show you ads. Stats are not linked to your name or email address.
Turning stats off: tap the person icon in the Game, then Turn off next to "Anonymous play stats." You can also use your browser's privacy settings or Google's opt-out add-on. Your choice doesn't affect your progress or rewards. Google's use of this information is described at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
What we don't collect
We don't collect your precise location, contacts, photos or microphone, and we don't use advertising trackers. If that changes, we'll update this policy first.
How we use information
- To run the Game, save your progress and let you play on multiple devices.
- To process purchases and deliver what you bought.
- To keep the Game secure and prevent cheating, fraud and abuse.
- To respond when you contact us.
- To understand and fix technical problems.
- To see how the Game is played (for example, which levels are too hard) so we can improve it.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that run the Game for us, and only as needed for them to do so:
- Google Firebase (sign-in and cloud saves)
- Google Analytics for Firebase (anonymous play stats, which you can turn off)
- Cloudflare (hosting and security)
- Stripe (payments)
- Google Fonts (the Game's lettering, which your browser loads from Google)
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our players or others, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and cloud save until you delete them. Play stats are kept in Google Analytics for up to 14 months. Guest saves that haven't been used for 24 months may be deleted. Purchase records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: in the Game, tap the person icon, then Delete my account. This permanently removes your account and cloud save.
- Access or correct your information: email us and we'll help.
- Turn off play stats: tap the person icon, then Turn off next to "Anonymous play stats."
- Play without signing in: guest play is always available, though your progress then stays with that device.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as the right to know what personal information we hold or to request deletion. Email us to make a request and we'll respond within the time the law requires. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Children
Our Games are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections and database rules that let each player reach only their own save. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if required by law.
Where your information is stored
Our providers store data in the United States. If you play from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we make changes, we'll update the effective date above, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the Game.
